In Term 3 we did Geometry and made houses. This is a link to my Geometry House post.
My teacher has a set of '24 cards'. Sometimes we play 24. Each card has 4 numbers on it, and we have to get a total of 24 by using each number once, using two operations. ( +, - , x, etc) There are 3 levels. Every now and then we try and work one out, then the next time that we play 24, we tell the class about it.

We have just finished our study on Statistics. Our final assessment was to get in to groups of 1, 2 or 3 and plan a maths lesson on one aspect of statistics and teach it to the class. I buddied up with a classmate, and we did tree diagrams. We gave the class a task to do: draw one of the tree diagrams that we had shown them and present it nicely. This became a sample for our portfolio. I really enjoyed being up the front and teaching! I might be a teacher for a little bit when I grow up!
In groups we do Problem Solving:
Twice throughout the year we, as students, got to teach the class maths! Tune in to these voicethreads...
